Victoria, BC, more old red brick. This building is said to house Victoria's first well that the British settlers built at Fort Victoria. However, it's right next to the ocean, hard to understand how they got fresh water digging so close to Salt water?! I guess that question is for the "experts".

John Dee's Crystal, 1582

Used for clairvoyance and for curing disease.

John Dee (1527-1609) was an English mathematician and astrologer interested in divination using crystals and mirrors. This crystal was used for curing disease and predicting the future by looking for symbols or the ‘ghosts’ of people in the stone. Dee claimed that this crystal was given to him by the angel Uriel in November 1582, and that Uriel had instructed Dee and his assistant Edward Kelley (1555-1597/8) on how to make the Philosopher’s Stone – one of the goals of alchemy.

The crystal was entrusted to Dee’s son, Arthur (1597-1651) who passed it on to Nicholas Culpeper (1616-1654) as a reward for curing his liver complaints. Culpeper was a physician and alchemist who used the crystal to try and cure illness, until 1651, when he believed a demonic ghost burst out from it.

La storia geologica della nostra Terra non è quella che dicono. Molte migliaia di anni fa, prima che le nostre antiche e vaste città e civiltà fossero costruite, prima che gli animali che conosciamo vagassero, prima che ci fosse il tramonto, la ciclicità e la morte, prima che i funghi infestassero le foreste, prima che anche le persone vivessero sulla Terra, prima che il carbonio la vita dominava questo regno, era abitato da forme di vita basate sul silicio. Tali forme di vita che esistevano su una scala molto più grande di quella che abbiamo oggi.
Diamo una breve occhiata alla Torre del Diavolo, ad esempio, facendo una stima approssimativa, con una larghezza di 250 metri, la sua altezza prima di essere tagliata sarebbe stata di 1,6 chilometri. Tutto dipende dal rapporto tra larghezza e altezza che usi, ma anche se scegli un rapporto più generoso, la sua altezza torreggia assolutamente su qualsiasi albero vivente oggi - che ha un'altezza massima solo la metà di quella del ceppo di Devil's Tower.j
