Instead of a simple “pay their fair share” message that raised taxes on businesses and the wealthy,

Senate Dems are now exploring a range of complicated ideas with convoluted terms like “mark to market” to get Sinema on board

https://t.co/1aAPXl96Bg
Among the options under discussion to satisfy Sinema include targeting hundreds of billionaires who don’t pay taxes on their unrealized gains, stock buybacks, installing a minimum corporate tax, focusing more on international corporate tax reform, IRS enforcement.
It could be a big climbdown from Democrats' campaigns on raising the corporate and income tax rates on high earners. Dems might be able to make up the revenue, but would be a tough political pill to swallow.

Also, credit to @aduehren @RichardRubinDC for getting theirs up first
These abuses must stop. Make these fascists famous.

Big news here: Sinema not budging on raising taxes on the wealthy (!!!) something that almost every Dem is using to sell the bill . Lol
Senate Dems are searching for an elusive plan C on elections and ethics reform after facing yet another setback Wednesday. While Manchin spent weeks reaching out to Rs, all 50 voted Wednesday to block consideration of the bill. w/ @ZachMontellaro

The dems gonna go with plan C for more cheating. They want to make cheating law and in the open now
Can't believe that the democrats didn't know this was coming.

Sinema might really blow up the Biden agenda to keep the wealthy from paying any higher taxes https://t.co/NHBDmVbtB3
I dont think these people ever buy anything at the super market. Prices have been going up for 9 months now. BIGLY https://twitter.com/joshdcaplan/status/1450914776616427524?s=20
What else is new.

The Netflix walkout over Chappelle was reportedly going to be 1,000 employees. It appears that a fraction of these numbers materialized. This whole thing seems like the news media trying really hard to will something into reality when reality won't comply...

Where Are the Ballot Envelopes?

Via @WILFMoseder

“Reminder. The ballot envelopes were moved by Maricopa County out of the secure vault which had 24/7 surveillance [on 10/6] to a ‘records storage location’ where security measures are unknown.”

In a recent 4-hour open forum, Dr. Shiva emphasized the importance of the physical ballot envelopes and his interest in conducting a full signature verification analysis to determine the true error rate. What protection measures are in place for the envelopes that remain in Maricopa County custody?

GOP Blocks Senate Democrats' Freedom to Cheat Elections Bill

Senate Republicans on Wednesday blocked Democrats from advancing a revised bill to federalize elections. The Senate voted 49-51 to end debate on whether to bring up the bill, known as the Freedom to Vote Cheat Act, falling short of the 60 needed.

The Honest Elections Project, a conservative outside group, termed the Democratic bill the “Freedom to Cheat Act,” and argued that it would limit states' ability to require voter ID, ban sensible absentee voting rules, and place new requirements on states redistricting efforts.

Democrats previously tried to bring a more expansive bill known as the For the People Act to the Senate floor, but were blocked by Republicans earlier this year.

Thread:

Scott, I know why, as do many others.

The online Right and Left pretend to not know why, because narrative-driving influencers and media (broadly speaking) are not interested in root cause analysis or viable solutions, wherein each side must shoulder equal responsibility.
