I did know a number or RO/ROs were built in Nikolayev in the late Soviet period, but didn't know one of them ended up in Military Sealift Command.
LCPC Roy M Wheat first name was Vladimir Vaslyayev, one of 4 Kapitan Smirnov class built by the Chernomorskiy Shipyard

Interestingly for a merchant ship, the main engines for the Kapitan Smirnov class was 2 x M25 gas turbines, for a total of 50 000 hp, giving them a top speed of 25-26 knots.

This aircraft is serial no.50903028113 and formerly carried the number 1303. 13 Slovak MiG-29 in total have been donated to Ukraine.

Correction to twt 17, the 24th Assault Batt 'Aidar' soldier is WIA not by a bullet but a grenade reportedly from a Russian mortally wounded by the other guy. Now recovering, his new post shows another bunker likely nearby.

The same 24th Assault Battalion 'Aidar' soldier in tweet 17-18 posts this film on 15/05. Scattered kit + 15 KIA Russians IMO from earlier winter battles nearer Ivanivske. I have a rough idea of where but can't prove it yet.
