MOH will lifts restrictions on mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines) for people with anaphylaxis or allergic reactions to other drugs, food, insect stings or unknown triggers.

JUST IN: A 48-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attacking 4 people with a knife in a Bukit Merah flat.

The man was believed to be under the influence of drugs and was unknown to the victims.

Two men and two women, aged between 18 and 59 were conveyed to the hospital.

Vision Empire Healthcare is being investigated for illegal mask manufacturing and repackaging facility.

Under the Health Products Act, firms are required to have a licence from HSA to manufacture surgical masks.

Wearing such masks may increase the users' risk of developing skin irritation, respiratory symptoms or infections, and it may not provide a safe level of protection. The masks may be contaminated after being stored in unsanitary conditions.

COVID-19 NEWS UPDATE:

1) Dining-in will be allowed for groups of 2.
Groups of more than 2 in the same household may dine-in together.

2) Wedding receptions will not be allowed to be held.
They may resume after mid-July.

3) Gyms and fitness studios may resume indoor mask-off activities for groups of 2.

4) Visits to elderly residential care home visits may resume.
Prior to entry, visitors must test negative.

5) Working from home still remains the default work mode.

All new restrictions apply from 21 June.

The blocks are:
- 81, 82 and 83 Redhill Lane
- 87, 88, 89 and 90 Redhill Close

Fragments of the virus were also detected in wastewater samples.

MOH has updated its criteria for close contact with COVID-19 cases.

A close contact is now defined as:

One with a cumulative exposure of 15 minutes or more within 2m of a suspected Covid-19 case.

India has declared a new mutation of Delta variant - named Delta Plus, at least 22 cases detected in India.

Scientists informed the Indian government that they had found evidence of the mutation.

The mutation - B161721, is more effective in transmitting COVID-19.

1) Singapore will ramp up its number of jabs to around 80,000 doses daily, up from around 47,000 today.

Additionally, Singapore may get the novavax vaccine by end-2021, if "all goes well" according to Minister Ong Ye Kung.
