The Singapore - Malaysia border crossings were fully re-opened early this morning, after 2 years.

Travellers queued since 11pm yesterday, to cross the border.

Border transport services like were also observed to be re-opening.

All nightlife businesses in Singapore allowed to reopen from Apr 19.

Only up to 10 fully vaccinated people are allowed to be in a group. Supervised ART required for those going to venues offering
dancing as an activity.

Safe distancing of 1m is needed when masks are off.

The maximum capacity is 75% for large settings/events with >1,000 pax, and no capacity limit for settings/events with ≤1,000 pax.

Any Singapore bound traveller, except short-term visitors will now be able to fulfil their pre-departure Covid-19 test requirements through a virtually supervised ART.

Previously, only travellers from selected countries or places were able to tap the virtually supervised ART option.

10 People shot, dozens more with other injuries - after a gunman opened fire on a train in Brooklyn (New York) this morning.

No injuries are considered life threatening, and local police said they had identified a person of interest, but did not name him as a suspect. They said no one was in custody. 

Items like a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a hatchett, fireworks and a liquid, believed to be gasoline was recovered onsite.

SMMs in Singapore will be eased from 26th April. Here is more:

1) F&B outlets will not need to do vaccination checks from April 26, as cases decline.

2) Only large events, and nightlife establishments where VDS checks are required will require SafeEntry.

3) Pre-departure tests no longer needed for vaccinated travellers, unvaccinated children to enter Singapore from April 26.

All non-fully vaccinated travellers entering Singapore, who aged 13 and above, are still required to take a pre-departure test within two days before departure for Singapore.

4) The DORSCON Level has been lowered back to 'Yellow'.

Elon Musk has criticised Twitter's moderation, saying that Twitter's algorithm for prioritising tweets should be public and also criticised giving too much power on the service to corporations that advertise.

Twitter shares rose 5.7% on Monday to close at $51.70.

From 1 May, Malaysia will relax its Safe Management Measures.

Some relaxations include:

- No more PCR testing for eligible incoming travellers
- Mask wearing to be optional
- No more MySejahtera Check-ins

For Hari Raya Puasa, visiting and open houses will be allowed, with no cap on the number of visitors to a household. Local authorities have advised for those visiting to self test before doing so.
