Prisoners are one of the least reached people groups on earth. Most are forgotten & don't even get visitors. Upon release, rejection from society becomes unbearable. They return to crime & end up in jail again. With your involvement, together we can break this cycle of crime. Join hands with us as we deal with the stigma of being an ex-prisoner.
Our Service to your Church.
Proactively pairing every prisoner in SA with a Church
Right from inside prison we get the details of the offenders that are going to be released and prepare the helping church for their release. The church is equipped to handle the situation.
• Pre-release liaison
• Church preparedness
Your Church can make us realize this dream. Get in touch with us. Get involved.

Good afternoon to our partners in Christ. Our website is completed and ready to view. The donate button is also active, however there is a small glitch. Paypal only utilises US$instead of ZAR. As you know, we depend on donations from our partners to bring the Gospel to the maginalised people in Prisons. Although Prison Fellowship makes a huge donation for us to do the work, we, Found by Grace, as the local Ministry, must still raise funds to meet our day to day running expenses. So you donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. You can utilise the EFT option should you wish to donate. May God richly bless you as you become a blessing to His people behind bars.
1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my [a]territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.
God is Indeed faithful. He is enlarging our territory. On the week of the 13 - 16 September 2021, we will be training more Spiritual workers from the Rustenberg Management Area under Chaplain Mary Shikwambani. This Management Area has 4 Corrections Centres namely Losperfontein, Mogwase, Ramotshana Youth and Rustenberg Medium B. We are currently active in Losperfontein, doing both Restorative Justice Program and The Prisoners Journey. On those dates, we will be training workers from the other 3 Centres which serve a combined number of inmates of 1047. Losperfontein alone servises 1035 inmates. Weare so grateful to the Lord for this Harvest. Please continue to pray for us as we labour in those Centres. 1 Chronicles 4:10
Crime causes injuries. It also can result in both the victim and offender experiencing stigmatization. Therefore, restorative justice places a high value on the reintegration of the victim and of the offender. The goal is to have them become whole, contributing members of their communities. Victims often feel stigmatized by family, friends and the community. Reintegration occurs when the victim or offender can become active and productive parts of their communities. To accomplish this, victims and offenders must find communities with the following characteristics: (1) mutual respect for those in the community, (2) mutual commitment to others in the community, and (3) intolerance for--but understanding of--deviant behaviour by members of the community. Faith communities are present in virtually all communities. Many are encouraged by their beliefs and traditions to help meet needs in their communities. Many have the resources and presence to provide many services. For example, Christianity is filled with traditions and examples of caring for those in needs. The story of the Good Samaritan encourages the church to aid victims of crime. Jesus' act of forgiveness and acceptance of the thief on the cross provides an example of acceptance of repentant offenders into the community.
On Wednesday evening I witnessed the agony of a crime victim. A Hyundai i20 was highjacked at gun point in Estherpark. An alarm was raised and the Tracking Company spotted the car driving towards Terenure. A private security car responded swiftly and upon identifying the car, he gave chase. The car then overturned at the corner of Rienet and P91 in Sector 3 Policing Precinct. The one suspect tried to escape and was apprehended by the Community of Terenure whilst the driver was arrested by the security personel.
Within minutes, the victim arrived on the scene and only to find her car on its roof. I don’t know what was going on in her mind. She was told to go to the police station to open a case by the policeman who secured the crime scene. All of us at the scene focused on the two suspects and we did not care about the victim. I will not forget the look on her face when she came face to face with her highjackers.
All of us failed this lady. Yes, the perpetrators were arrested and we think justice was served. What about this lady who is going to live with this ordeal for the rest of her life. Looking at a gun pointed at you and having your car taken away from you. Within minutes, being told that the perpetrators have been arrested. Upon arrival at the scene, finding her car on its roof.
I really don’t know what she was thinking at the time. Upon successful prosecution of these two guys, they will be sent to a prison for a couple of years. Upon admittance at the center, they will have access to a Social worker, a Psychologist, a doctor 24/7. What about the victim? She is left alone with the wounds that may not heal. These guys are going to be prescribed programs like Sycamore Tree (Restorative Justice) whilst she has to find her own Psychologist and Social worker at her own cost.
Well, what is the Church of Christ doing? I am in the process of tracing this lady and ensure that she gets help. In the Church we have Psychologists and Social workers. I need those services to be afforded the lady. I want this lady to get justice that restores. The insurance will replace the car but what about her soul. She needs counselling as soon as possible. Come on Church of Christ, lets assist the victims of crime no matter who they are.

Good morning Colleagues. October seems to be a busy month for Found By Grace. Upcoming events are as follows. 11 - 15 October: Training Spiritual Workers in Witbank management Area. This area cares for Witbank Correctional Centre, with 1582 Inmates, Middleburg Correctional Centre (437 Inmates), Carolina Correctional Centre ( 81 Inmates) and Belfast (62 Inmates). Chaplain Mangoedi wants us to facilitate STP J&P (Sycamore Tree Justice and Peace) on the 3'rd day with Inmates in order for the Spiritual Workers to learn from a practical point of view after theory training. She wants us to do the same for TPJ (The Prisoners Journey). We thank the Lord for these open doors. The second one is the Boksburg Management Area. Chaplain Manganye is responsible for Boksburg Corrections Centre A for Adults (2278 Inmates), Maximum Centre B for Juvenile Inmates (342 Inmates) and Heidelberg Corrections Center (773 Inmates). Training dates are 21 and 22 October 2021. In Boksburg we will be training 5 Spiritual Workers and 5 SMDC's (Spiritual and Moral Development Coordinators) on STP JP ( Restorative Justice Program). Please pray for us for the success of these meetings.
