Srinagar, August 03:(GNS) An unidentified militant has been killed in a gunfight in Chandaji area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Tuesday.
The Kashmir Police Zone on its official Twitter handle wrote, " 01 unidentified militant killed. Search going on. Further details shall follow,".
Earlier, a joint by a team of Police, Army and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in the area. As the joint team intensified the search operation, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off an encounter.(GNS)

*BJP leader dies of heart attack in Baramulla’s Rafiabad*

Baramulla, Aug 03 (KNO): Senior leader of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) DK Nehru died of cardiac arrest at his home in Rafiabad area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday morning.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that DK Nehru fell unconscious at his home last night following which he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
He said that he was referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment, where he died today morning—(KNO)
