*Govt forms Panel for Time Scale to JKAS officers*

Srinagar, Aug 12: The Government has formed a committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo to examine the issues related to induction into the Time Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS).

In this regard, an order was issued here by the General Administration Department (GAD).

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Committee to examine the issues realted to induction into the Time Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service,” the order read.

While the committee will be headed by the Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, other members include Commissioner /Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, Secretary to the Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Director General (Codes), Finance Department.

The Committee has been directed to submit its report within 10 days for its further consideration by the Establishment-cum-Selection Committee.

*Encounter breaks out in Kulgam’s Mir Bazar after militants attack CRPF party*

Kulgam, Aug 12 (KNO): Encounter broke out in
Mir Bazar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district after militants attacked a forces party in the area on Thursday afternoon.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the militants attacked a CRPF party at Mir Bazar on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway today afternoon.

He said that as the militants attacked the CRPF party, the fire was retaliated and militants got trapped in the area, triggering an encounter.

The official said that the militants got trapped in a nearby building and the exchange of fire was going on—(KNO)
