The Octus Bridge upgrade is over ⚡️

Thank you for your patience! Octus Bridge has undergone a technical upgrade, switching from Vaults to MultiVaults and making token transfers more efficient!

Each EVM network now has a MultiVault. Each MultiVault has the same address across all networks: 0x54c55369a6900731d22eacb0df7c0253cf19dfff

Anyone who has any integrations with Vaults will need to switch to MultiVaults.

There's also another new feature that we'll explain in more detail later. Have you noticed it yet?

Gas and transfer fee updates on Octus Bridge! 🤩🤩🤩

The latest updates to fees on Octus Bridge are here! In case you weren’t aware, there are two types of fees on the bridge: gas fees, which are paid in native coins for blockchain interaction, and transfer fees, which are paid in transfer tokens for the service that the platform provides.

🔵Gas fees
Now when you transfer tokens from Everscale to any bridge-supported EVM network and vice versa, you can pay gas fees in native outbound network coins.

Everscale
➡️EVM
Let’s imagine you transfer tokens from Everscale to BSC but you don’t have any BNB, the native coin of BSC. To make the transfer, you can pay the gas fees in EVER, the native coin of Everscale.

EVM➡️Everscale
Let’s say you transfer tokens from BSC to Everscale but you don’t have any EVER, the native coin of Everscale. To make the transfer, you can pay the gas fees in BNB, the native coin of BSC.

What's more, when transferring tokens from EVM to Everscale, you can specify the minimum amount of $EVER to be received on the Everscale side for additional needs in exchange for the native coin of the EVM network!

🔵Transfer fees
There are new transfer fees for all tokens, as all Octus Bridge Vaults have recently been switched to MultiVaults.

Everscale➡️EVM
No fee if the token was originally created on Everscale, and a 0.5% fee if the token was originally created in an external network.

EVM➡️Everscale
No fee if the token was originally created in an external network, and a 0.5% fee if the token was originally created on Everscale.

Exceptions are $USDC, $USDT, $DAI, $WBTC, and $WETH tokens, for which a 0.08% transfer fee is paid if they are withdrawn from Everscale, and no fee if they are deposited to Everscale.

🐙 New Logo, New Bridge 🐙

Meet the all-new Octus Bridge logo, inspired by an octopus camouflaged against coral. The design reflects the platform’s Invisible Bridge feature and its mobility and flexibility in an environment of multiple interconnected blockchains. We're sure you'll love the logo; it's the full package – modern, minimalist, and eye-catching! 😎

But that's not all! With the new logo comes a new bridge with UX/UI improvements and fixes. Here's what we've done:
▶️Added network icons and more tokens to search in the filter window
▶️Added the option to delete imported tokens from token list
▶️Fixed the bug with TVM2EVM credit transfers when users paid for gas with EVER once and then had problems with MetaMask

You can also find other improvements and fixes in our article

Friends, in connection with large outflows of funds via Multichain, for your safety we have suspended transfers via Fantom on Octus Bridge. This is a temporary measure until we know more about the circumstances.

Stay safe out there, and always remember to practice good digital hygiene in this brave new Web3 world!

Stay tuned. More details to follow.

🚀 Have you noticed?

There’s no need to wrap EVER to transfer it cross-chain via Octus Bridge: you can select EVER itself and the bridge will automatically wrap it and give you WEVER at the other end! 🤝

Here’s how to do it:
1️⃣Enter the app, and then connect your Everscale and MetaMask wallets.
2️⃣Select the route. We’ll be transferring from Everscale to Ethereum.
3️⃣Choose EVER from the dropdown. By the way, if you don’t have enough ETH to pay the gas fees, you can pay them in EVER.
4️⃣Sign the transaction. And that’s it! When it’s complete, the WEVER will be in your MetaMask.

Octus Bridge is becoming more accessible and is fully launching into the EVM universe! 💫

▶️That’s right: EVM↔️EVM transfers are back!

With their new one-way gas, every time you make an EVM↔️EVM transfer, you only pay gas in the coin of the network that you’re sending from!

And you don't need an EVER Wallet 😱

👉 Give it a go at https://app.octusbridge.io

What else is new:
⚡️Liquidity requests are back, including for EVM↔️EVM
⚡️WEVER available for EVM↔️EVM
⚡️Fantom is back. The USDC, DAI, WETH and WBTC from there will now be different to the official USDC, DAI, WETH and WBTC on Everscale

Product owners: now you can easily make your product cross-chain by integrating Octus Bridge with our new tech documentation! 📄

Cross-chain means a larger user base, lower entry threshold, and better UX for your product! 🎉

Do you have a marketplace that uses $USDT? You can implement its multiple versions: TIP3, ERC20, BEP20, etc.

What about a game with its own token? Multiply the token's versions.

To make all of this a breeze for you, we’ve put together docs that tell you how to integrate the bridge, how TVM↔️EVM transfers work, what alien/native tokens, events, and payloads are, and much more 🤓

Make. Your. Product. Cross-chain. https://integrate.octusbridge.io

Recent EVER volatility

Friends, unfortunately, a large number of EVER tokens have been stolen.

We are working closely with exchanges where EVER is listed in order to stop any further outflow of tokens 🛠

Please stay calm and refrain from taking any hasty actions 🧘

To halt the actions of those responsible, we have temporarily disconnected Octus Bridge.

We will provide more details as the situation becomes clearer in the course of our investigation.

Stay tuned!

Recent EVER volatility: update

Friends, so far, we’ve ascertained that the theft of EVER tokens happened as a result of fraudulent activity – the network has not been hacked, nor were any dApps 🫡

The stolen tokens were ERC20 EVER and not the coin in its native form.

Exchanges that Everscale works with have now suspended deposits and withdrawals of Wrapped EVER (WEVER). Currently, more info is available here and here.

As of now, we are working to protect native EVER, which is safe on Octus Bridge 🔐

We are carrying out a full investigation and will release all the details soon.

As always, stay tuned

Dear Bridgers,

We’re happy to announce that you can now use Octus Bridge again 🌉

Please be aware that for now, EVER/WEVER is still disconnected from the platform. All other cross-chain token transfers are possible as usual.

We will let you know as soon as we can reconnect EVER/WEVER.

Thanks for bearing with us 🤝

Got transfers to make already? Head to the Bridge now 👉 https://app.octusbridge.io

Dear Everscale community!

As we updated last week, we have become aware of a suspicious activity using WEVER, potentially involving illegal actions, where the bad actors involved have tried to hurry and sell a significant amount of WEVER they have taken possession of.

For the avoidance of doubt we would like to be crystal clear - there was no security incident involving Everscale, the bridge or any other technology associated with the Everscale and the tokens. Moreover, ALL native coins are safe and following the deactivation of the bridge cannot be accessed by the bad actors, who have only taken possession of the wrapped version.

We are currently taking all necessary actions against the bad actors, on the civil and law enforcement fronts, and should get results soon, for the benefit and protection of the ecosystem and the community.

We would also like to mention our partners, including exchanges, which are cooperating with the Everscale DeFi Alliance and taking action to prevent the bad actors from benefiting from their actions.

The decision to deactivate the bridge was done in the power granted by the DAO and intended to block the bad actors from redeeming the wrapped coins in their possession. The old wrapped version is now replaced by a new version (address: 0x1ffEFD8036409Cb6d652bd610DE465933b226917) that will be listed on the current and new exchanges in the upcoming days.

Until further notice, we urge you to cease all trading of WEVER until we announce the new WEVER has been updated on the relevant exchanges. WEVER holders are requested to reach out to the Everscale DeFi Alliance and swap the old tokens with the new ones, prior to the redemption against the native coins, subject to compliance requirements we will publish soon to make sure the bad actors are unable to do so.

We will publish additional instructions shortly.

As always, the Everscale DeFi Alliance and the DAO will take all necessary steps to prevent any wrongdoing and any action that may harm our mission and the best interest of our community and ecosystem.

Thank you,
Everscale DeFi Alliance
