ЦИКЛ ЛЕКЦИЙ В РАМКАХ ВЫСТАВКИ “КАТАР МЕЖДУ МОРЕМ И ПУСТЫНЕЙ. ИСКУССТВО И НАСЛЕДИЕ”

📍 Каждую субботу с 19 июня по 21 августа в Российском этнографическом музее будут проходить бесплатные лекции с участием ведущих специалистов в области культуры стран Ближнего Востока и арабского языка.

☑️ Цикл открыла лекция 19 июня, посвященная арабским надписям и рукописям Дагестана. Лекцию читал заведующий центром Института востоковедения РАН, профессор НИУ Высшая школа экономики в Санкт-Петербурге Владимир Олегович Бобровников. Владимир Олегович рассказывал про арабские тексты, выбитые и записанные в Дагестане с VIII по XXI в., а также про ярких ученых, занимавшихся арабистикой на Восточном Кавказе, начиная с арабов из Йемена и Сирии XV – XVIII вв. до современных российских ученых, включая его учителя А. Р. Шихсаидова. Кроме этого, в лекции шла речь о тесных культурных связях Восточного Кавказа с арабским Ближним Востоком в прошлом и настоящем.

📡🚀Emirates Mars Mission Launches Planet X challenge in partnership with Dubai Airshow 2021

✈️13 September 2021 – Emirates Mars Mission, in partnership with the Dubai Airshow 2021, has launched Planet X – a new nationwide competition designed to inspire a new generation of talent to build careers in the fast-growing global space and aviation industries.

🔭The multidisciplinary contest will create and exciting opportunities for the country’s youth who are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through a two-month contest to build, code and design robots for deep space exploration.

🚀Emirates Mars Mission’s Planet X challenge kicks off with a prequalification round in September, followed by a week of training in October. The main challenge takes place during the Dubai Airshow 2021, running from 14-18 November, where high school and university students will be required to create ground and aerial robots for reconnaissance missions on Planet X Up to AED 50,000 is available for the winning team.

✅Omran Sharaf, Project Manager of the Emirates Mars Mission – Hope Probe, said: “Empowering youth is an important part of our long-term vision to enhance the nation’s global position in all space-related fields and create a new cadre of leaders that can push the boundaries of science and technology. Planet X, in partnership with the Dubai Airshow 2021, aims to inspire young people with skills in science, engineering, technology and maths. By building and coding robots to successfully carry out complex reconnaissance missions on Mars, we will demonstrate how exciting and rewarding a career in space science can be. We want to inspire students to reach for the stars and contribute to our nation’s meteoric rise in deep space exploration and I believe our new competition will deliver on this.”

✅To enter Planet X, students must complete a pre-qualification challenge which is open. Applicants are required to design an aircraft capable of carrying out missions on Mars, answer technical details about how it would work in practice, as well as compete in a live coding challenge that will take place in September. ✅The most successful 40 students will be invited to receive rigorous training and mentorship from engineers and technologists. They will learn how to build, design and develop state-of-the-art robots and 3D-printed aircrafts alongside the team that successfully sent the Hope Probe to Mars.

‘Sharjah Week’ in Russia highlights cooperation opportunities between industrial establishments in both countries🇷🇺🇦🇪

The mission is headed by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) represented by the Sharjah Exports Development Center (SEDC).

✅The mission recently held the Sharjah-Russia Business Forum under the title "Cooperation Opportunities between Industrial Companies", with the aim of strengthening cooperation frameworks between Russian exporting companies with their counterparts from Sharjah.

☑️At the opening of the forum, Sergey Gorkov stressed the importance of this mission led by the Sharjah Chamber in strengthening economic cooperation relations between Russia and the UAE.

✅He pointed to the ongoing coordination between the two friendly countries especially in the sectors of agriculture, advanced technology, and tourism.

☑️Al Owais invited Russian businessmen and investors to visit Sharjah in order to explore the investment opportunities available and learn closely about the qualities of its investment environment that have succeeded in becoming a competitive destination for investors worldwide.

✅In turn, Sorin Oganisovich Vardanyan said: "The Emirate of Sharjah receives particular attention from the Russian business community. It is also one of the important destinations the Moscow Chamber seeks to penetrate its markets thanks to its diverse investment environment, as well as its encouraging commercial and economic climate.

Vardanyan underlined that this forum will shorten the distance between the two friendly countries and push relations towards new horizons that enhance areas of cooperation.

Bodour Al Qasimi calls for diversity and cultural dialogue at the 37th IBBY Congress in Moscow

📚Addressing global stakeholders of children’s publishing, the IPA President commits to prioritise efforts to strengthen culture of reading and support the book industry.

✅Bodour Al Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association (IPA), has stressed the importance of promoting a strong reading culture among children and young people through innovative partnerships and collaboration between libraries, publishing houses, cultural institutions, governments, NGOs, and all the relevant stakeholders in the publishing eco-system.

☑️The IPA President also highlighted that a lack of female representation in publishing companies, especially in leadership positions, has led to a one-dimensional approach to the books published and the narratives supported; calling for more diversity and inclusivity in publishing.

✅On the sidelines of the IBBY World Congress, the IPA President also met with local publishers and members of the Russian Book Union, a non-profit organisation that unites publishers, distributors and printers, as well as writers’ groups and associations of the country. Discussions centred on consolidating efforts to support the growth of Russia’s book industry and explore untapped opportunities to revive the downward trend in book production which took a significant hit following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic last year.
