Chief Technology Officer (Berlin, office, relocation)

Berlin based B2B FinTech and Regulatory
Technology company which assists financial players with pre and post-
trade digitization. Risk management, compliance, and front office employees require market intelligence and information tools to be able to detect, track, and monitor market developments. Company provides technology solutions that meet these requirements, supports clients with the initial pretrade risk analysis, with ongoing monitoring and
generation of trading signals, as well as with the calculation of relevant risk indicators such as marktomodel values and value at risk.
What will you do:
Your starting project will be the
development of an application that connects a front office trading tool to our internal risk engine. The technology will allow the user to set trading parameters via a GUI and to request for low latency trading signals.
After successfully completing this technology it will be integrated into one of the most important broker platforms in Europe. You will be working with low latency market data feeds and with our proprietary software that includes the mathematical algorithms for computing the trading information.
Task && Responsibilities:
Ensure good planning of resources (Scrum, weekly meetings, assigning
tasks, prioritization), estimations and deliver the services. There is no Scrum master currently, the CTO should facilitate the planning meetings.
Choose technologies in order to deliver solutions according to the business requirements. (CEO is not involved in the technical decision making.)
Keep the company ahead of the technology curve.
You will be able not merely to adapt to disruptions but also to anticipate them and turn them to the organization’s strategic and operational advantage.
You will be responsible for the company’s IT strategy and for the
management of the company’s portfolio of applications and services.
Handson coding: around 50% of the time in the beginning which will change in the future as the team grows.
Maintaining and developing a java scala go based infrastructure
People management, hiring new team members, interviewing.
Take part in management meetings and strategic decision making

Experience: a minimum of 12 years
4+ years of experience in team leading, people management, project
management Fluent English, sufficient for the daily professional communication in a diverse international team. The German language is an advantage but not essential. Good communication skills and literacy, ability and readiness to write documentation and support knowledge transfer within the team.Domain experience with stock exchange, financial industry or BigData vendors will be a big plus.
Salary range: 100,000.00 - 120,000.00 Euro
