Murunggakai/drum stick sambar/dhal curry.
6 murunggakai- remove strings and cut into 1 inch length
1/2 cup masoor dhal - rinse
2 green chillies - slice into 4 pcs
10 cherry tomatoes or 1 large tomato - slice
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tbsp onion paste
1 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp mustard oil or normal oil
Some curry leaves
Salt for taste
Method
Heat oil.
Sauté garlic paste, ginger paste and onion paste.
Add curry leaves and stir.
Add all the ingredients except turmeric and salt.
Stir and cook for 2 to 3 mins.
Pour enough water for gravy.
Add turmeric powder and salt.
Stir and simmer till murunggakai is cooked.
Done.
