The "O Rei," who passed away in December 2022, was in town with former Manchester United star Eric Cantona and former USA international Cobi Jones as part of the touring New York Cosmos contingent.
The trio greeted the crowds during halftime of the S.League match between Courts Young Lions and Geylang United.

๐ This trophy is the second version since the professionalisation of the game in the island republic and was unveiled in 2006 to replace the earlier version.
๐ฐ The year 2010 was a significant one for the tournament, as Thai club Bangkok Glass (now known as BG Pathum) became the first foreign side to win Singapore football's premier knockout competition.
๐ Despite the name of the tournament, various clubs from neighbouring countries had been invited to participate in the competition to enhance its regional appeal in recent years.
